Ok, I just installed dsl today because I've heard alot about linux and wanted to try it out. Well, when I first tried it I loved it, but as you know any computer with no games and not connected to the internet is kind of boring lol. All you have is paint and word processor, not my cup of tea.
I right clicked, hit net and the setup. I set up on a PAP, I put everything in right, the login and the password and the number it dials. (Dial-Up, Local ISP). Then, I went to it again and hit dial, I typed in the name of the provider and the window closed, nothing happened, no screen showing it was connecting and no dialing noise. I waited a cpl mins and click on the browser and said it couldn't access the dsl site. So I assume it's not connecting. Now I may have forgot to set something up I'm not sure, can any of you help me? I'm using the boot disk, I haven't installed dsl on my hd. Thanks. ---Odihnn
