Hello: first scusse me for my bad english, i'm writing from Sonora, Mexico.
Today I just finish my own webserver/FTP server running DSL 0.8.2, monkey and BetaFTPd, I know some other already do it but this is a great experience to me considering that this is my first server ever. I was amazed about how easy is to make it with DSL
I register a no-ip.com address, then I access the webpage & do FTP upload/download tests from a friends computer and even I ask other friends on other cities and countries to access to it and IT WORKS!!! YIPEEE!!
actually I just have an informative page about the OS (DSL of course) and software I use to do it and the specs. of the machine where it's running (Pentium 233Mhz, 98MB RAM, 1.2GB HD) on a 256Kb ADSL connection. The objetive of this is to host my own webpages about WiFi, Electronics and other stuff.
I like to ask if some of you can test if you can access to it, the address is:
http://patula.no-ip.com
thanks for your time, and please if you check my webserver, tell me if it has a good response time, or any other comment.
p.s. by the way the webpage is in spanish
Thanks .. el patula
