I'm at a loss here.  ifconfig shows a wierd 10.X.X.X IP, and internet doesn't work from a Terminal window opened up from Xwin.  But if I start up Firefox or any other browser, internet works fine.  Am I missing something?

I'm retarded.  I was running in QEMU and it was the virtual adapter.  Then QEMU blocks ping traffic.  Soooo nevermind.  I did however get DSL setup as an HD install to a 200 meg image on my USB drive that I run through qemu.  Very happy with it.
