Would it be possible to boot DSL off the CD on PC A [broken Win95 install], connect it to PC B [WinXP Home] with a crossover cable, and copy the contents of A's hard drive to B?

Also, would it be possible to boot DSL from CD on both systems, and transfer PC B's HD contents to PC A?

Thats how I rescued my wifes system....

Booted DSL, loaded samba.dsl, mounted my windows share, copied all "critical" files off busted c:\ partition, rebooted, reformatted and  POW!
