As some of you have seen I have a WPC54Gv2 PCMCIA card on my laptop. Everything works fine until I try to switch from my neighbors network to mine. Everything locks up. At first I thought it was the enc key, but evidently not. I have disabled wep and added mac addy filtering to the router.
Laptop is a p2 233 or 300 IBM Thunkpad. 64 megs of ram 3.7ish gig hd. Perfect for DSL HD install
Went to ndiswrapper and followed their stuff and still get same problems.
The lockups occur when I type ifconfig wlan0 down iwconfig wlan0 essid Satori channel 11 iwconfig wlan0
I see it connects all happily switches from B to G but about 10 seconds after I type iwconfig wlan0 essid.... it locks up. I have also tried w/o the channel switch.
Any ideas?
