Im using the same and latest usb stick DSL on a Toshiba portable and a desktop, one next to the other connected with a router, and to the internet. The stick on the Toshiba connects to the net sometimes,and sometimes not. Same with the desktop, sometimes yes, and after a reboot no.
Also, when connected to the net on the desktop with the stick, and using firefox, no problem. But the same stick, when connected on the laptop, firefox doesn't load, and the light on the usb stick just keeps flashing on/off.
Anybody got any ideas..........
