Does anyone know the market share of these two operating systems in regard to servers online.
Im thinking linux is bigger but I maybe wrong.

According to Netcraft, just under 70% of online http servers are running Apache, which should give you a general idea.  I don't know what percentace of this is running on Windows machines, but I'm pretty sure it's still a minority.
