Hello, I download the official Broadcom linux drivers for the newest nic.

I can compile the drivers in DSL because the gcc and make commands are not in this small distribution.

The kernel of DSL is 2.4.26 at this moment.

I have run a Red Hat, I copiled kernel to 2.4.26, I compiled the Broadcom drives, and I copied the compiled bcm5700 driver to DSL. But it not works, perhaps by dependences of kernel.

Another idea to work the new Broadcom NICs?

I was wondering how to do this also. I dont have linux, or any knowledge of compiling things, but I'd like to know how to access the drivers. (Do I put them on my pendrive or leave them on my hard drive? [and how do you use a file exploring utility in DSL, is there a "My Computer thing anywhere?])

When you want to add additional modules to be loaded to DSL, place them in the modules/ directory in the root of your boot media.

The file manager in DSL is EmelFM.

There doesn't appear to be a modules directory, at least none that I can see in windows (which I hate ever so much). I have it installed to a usb pendrive, if it makes any difference. How do I view a drive upon which DSL is not installed? Do I need to mount it somehow?

I also tried to use the Broadcom BCM5700 drivers (with gcc1.dsl loaded) and didn't get anywhere - I gave up when I noticed DSL 1.5 will detect my Broadcom 570x Gigabit Integrated Controller right out of the box

Unfortunately DSL 1.5 doesn't detect my Broadcom 1350 WLAN out of the box
