Thanks for the suggestion Chris. All suggestions are well taken.
Yes, I did try the tip in the cbagger post - can't say why the output posted had the "-dv" in it - should have checked better before posting and creating that little storm.
Am currently travelling (again) and not at my DSL PC, will try the ''modprobe b44'' tip when back.
And also thanks for the suggestion about the other broadcom device. Pretty sure the 'b44' is correct, as it works fine in Feather.
Once again thanks for the suggestions - please never be shy about making comments on my behalf, as I well realise my limitations.
