First, I'd like to say, wow, the new version of dsl is great.  i've used it back in the .6 days, and haven't needed it for a while, but i decided using windows 95 was just way way way to painful.

My problem is this.  My 3com megahertz 3ccfem556b combo lan/56k causes the system to completely lock up.  The system works fine with boot option dsl nopcmcia or with the modem removed from the system.  but with the modem in, it doesn't get past "loading cardmgr".  Also, if i plug the modem in after the system has started, it totally locks up.  I suspect there is little i can do, but felt it would be best to post anyways.  I'm fairly comfortable using linux systems, but i've never had any trouble with any of my hardware before either.
