Hi all, Im pretty new to the DSL scene, and fairly new to linux altogether, however i do know when something doesn't seem to be right, Ive got a MSI Nforce2 motherboard, with an onboard network controller, when i boot DSL and the network cable is attached to the network, DSL crashes going into X, however when the network cable is not attached, the boot is successful, im in X and can then safetly attach the network gain, gain an ip address from my DHCP server, and away i go. The DHCP server is a windows server 2003 DHCP server, it seems to be something to do with this as when the hub is disconnected from the DHCP server router hub, DSL boots fine. Is there anyone else who has ever experienced this type of problem, and anyone know of any fixes?
