I'm trying to get my 3Com OfficeConnect 11g wireless PCMCIA card to work.

I have installed it with ndiswrapper, here's my iwconfig:

Code Sample

$ iwconfig
lo      no wireless extensions

eth0     NOT READY! ESSID:"XXXX"
       Mode:Managed  Channel:11  Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00
       Tx-Power=31 dBm   Sensitivity=0/200

blah....

I've tried

$ sudo ifup eth0

and I get:

Code Sample

RTNETLINK answers: File exists
SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory
RTNETLINK answers: Network is down

I have a 3Com 3CRWE554G72 wireless router running on my network. Wireless is enabled, don't know why it says network is down.

Also, when my compaq presario was running win98 with the 3Com PC card, there is an indication LED that is lit up when there is a link, right now in DSL there isn't any LED on.

I've also tried setting my card's IP static, with Broadcast IP 255.255.255.255 (is this correct)?

Any ideas???

Update: I've got it working now. Using Prism54 instead.
