I would be SUPER excited if I could just get a simple monitor that would let me know how much battery I had left. If this monitor would tell the remaining battery in % I would be happy, if it told me in minutes I wouldn't know what to do with myself. But like you, this is beyond me I have spent the last month trying to get figure out ndiswrapper so I could use my NetGear WiFi adapter, only to give up and buy a Cisco Aironet 350 off of ebay, because the DSL site claimed it was supported and required little or no configuration. They were right, as long as it is plugged in at boot time it will completely autoconfigure itself. This made it possible for me to finally Winblows, and all other Microsuck software from my computers. I have managed to get everything I need from the mydsl extensions, except for a battery monitor, and kismet, although this airsnort may be an alternative to kismet.
