Its an Omnibook Sojourn with a 2gb harddrive (233 Mhz 64 megs RAM 2mb video card) so I want to install the smallest possible OS on it. So i boot from cdrom and it boots fine, but when it loads (boots from cd) the gui/xwindow/desktop system, the monitor display has very poor quality and has a wierd shade of green to the point where i can barely read the icons or the menus. I want to eventually install DSL on my harddrive, but could someone suggest how to fix this so i can actually use the OS.
Previously I installed delilinux (delilinux.de), but apparently the screen has strange vertical/horizontal sync range, which i eventually found online and set it in the xf86config file since i got command line to work, but then i had issues with the mouse etc and gave up.
If you have suggestions on how to fix the screen so that I can just install DSL on my hd and be on my way that would be great. Or if you recommend a different idea on how to setup my laptop. Thanks.
