Before I ask my question, I just want to say that I am amazed with the work you guys have done. DSL is truly an impressive accomplishment. I'm a total newb when it comes to Linux (and I only have intermediate knowledge of computers in general). I use Windows ME on a daily basis. It's horrible. I really want to learn more about Linux, and I thought DSL would be a great way to start.
I want to install DSL on this (really old) laptop:
IBM 701CS
80486 processor
16mb ram
516mb HD
No USB, no CD drive, no netcard--only floppy
I read SaidinUnleashed's guide 2.c.2, but I got lost. I don't understand exactly what I need to do in each step. I have searched the forums and the other DSL sites for help, but I have not been able to find any. Can you please walk me through the steps with detailed info? It would be greatly appreciated.
I know it must be annoying for newbs like me to ask for help, but I really want to learn, and I know you guys can teach me. Thank you so much for any support you can provide, and I hope to give back to the DSL community soon.
