Hi,

I'm unable to get 1024x768 working in anything greater than 256 colors on this older Vaio.  If it's running in 800x600, it works fine in 32k, but the screen is about 3/4 the size that it should be.

I'm also unable to get text consoles working in anything larger than approximately the same size.  I'd like to have fullscreen consoles.

Additionally, I'm unable to get apt-get running; the machine hangs on the downloading stage.  I'm trying to do this from the flux menu.

Any help would be appreciated!  This is, BTW, a USB install.

Another thing: Under 256 colors, my palette is extremely garbled.  The smileys to the left of this submit window, for instance, are cyan when they should be yellow (I presume.)  Is there any way to correct this?

My neighbor has an old Sony Vaio. It require the XFree86.dsl extension to get full screen.
