I looked at the boot floppy that was contributed by Catfish to Feather, as posted here by Hasty. I found that it did not work on any of my six computers( 2 intel notbebooks, 2 via, and 2 intel desktops). I still got the "can't find Knoppix filesystem..." message. Upon further investigation I found that the modules that are loaded are for the "Open Host Controller Interface". That usually applies to Compaq and Sis based systems. That is why it does not work on my systems. Anyway I ended up making a USB boot floppy for DSL with the USB modules needed for my computers. It supports Intel and Via based systems. Should be available RSN. It will probably be made available with the 0.6.3 as it also contains some new features in 0.6.3.
This make it so simple to copy the KNOPPIX folder onto a USB 1.1 or 2.0 pendrive. Make the boot floppy, then boot from floppy and away you go.
