I am attemping to install dsl 3.01 on the laptop listed below. -------------------------------------------------------- CPU: AMD K6-2 366Mhz. processor RAM: 96MB PC66 SDRAM (32MB native, 64MB added via PC66 SO-DIMM) Video: NeoMagic MagicGraph128XD 2MB graphics chipset Display: 12.1" LCD Display Sound: ES1869 Plug and Play AudioDrive (WDM) w/ JBL-Pro stereo speakers Modem: Compaq Presario 56K-DF (LT Winmodem) 4.5GB UDMA hard-disk, 24x CD-ROM, standard 3.5" floppy --------------------------------------------------------
The os installs with little or no difficulty.
However, I am unable to get a working X config. all I seem to be able to get is a smear of colored lines. what makes this even more annoying is all the pretty penguin logos show up just fine during install.
I understand there may be a "cheat code" to use during install.
anyone know what it is?
