Hi,

im trying to boot DSL 3.1 on my Tecra 8000 but it always stops very early after displaying the line

Code Sample
"ACPI Bios found, activating modules: ac battery button fan processor thermal"

When i start it with "dsl noacpi" it stops saying:
Code Sample
"Skipping ACPI Bios detection as requested on boot commandline"

i would really enjoy DSL on this machine, so please help me.

Try "apm=off", maybe there is some kind of apm/acpi conflict?

Thanks, but that didn't help.
Any other ideas?

Ok,
acpi=off and nopcmcia brought me one step further. Now the booting process stops later after saying twice something like xauth: creating......./dsl/.../...

noapm noapci apm=off apci=off

if you still have problems, try it with some others.. ie failsafe etc. (see wiki)
