hi, im trying to leave the darkside behind and try linux, I managed to boot dsl but the screen is a barely readable bluish/yellow colour with the edges blurred.
I tried running the command fb 800x600 ,this did not work though. Id also like to install to hard drive but cant locate how to do this. Any advice greatly appreciated

then choose xf86dev and 800x600x15 ... experiment around with these

i had this problem last weekend; here's my post and solution:

btw, you can install in place of windows, im workin on converting an old laptop of mine and will be doin that soon too - good luck!
