Has anyone found a recent-model laptop that will take DSL sweetly? I have read interesting previous posts about older laptops, but I'm buying a new laptop anyway. I am agnostic about brand and specs - it will just be a $1200 to $1800 consumer laptop, the more recent the better, so the manufacturers will not have changed the guts since you bought yours.
I've got stuck on issues with mouse-recognition and intermittent startup of x-server on my Vaio VGN-A217S, so I'd rather do this the other way round and match the laptop up to the OS before purchase.
I am particularly keen on getting DSL to boot from a pendrive.
best regards,
Nigel
