Topic: Toshiba 4010 CDS, X hates me, or at least that laptop...< Next Oldest | Next Newest >

I tried to use DSL on my old 4010 CDS today; but I didn't get very far...  It seemed to boot normally (actually, the boot messages seemed to 'spill' off the bottom of the screen), but when it tried to start X, the screen went black, and stayed black, and st......  I also have a copy of Puppy Linux lying around, so I tried that and the same thing happened.  It's not the first time, I installed Vector Linux a while ago, and it did the same thing, actually I think it gave some error message about not being able to start X.  So you see, X hates my old laptop, any ideas why???
