I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 with a WUXGA resolution lcd screen.  It's native resolution is 1920x1280, and I was wondering if there was a way for me to change the resolution in DSL to anything higher than the base resolution, and if so, how?

Just quit X (ctrl+alt+backspace)

run xsetup.sh

choose 2 button ps/2 mouse, 1600x1200, 32 bit color.
