Hi everyone,

I am using a Lexar 1GB USB JumpDrive to store mydsl programs.

The two programs are xampp-linux-1.4.13.tar.gz and gcc1.dsl.

Both are stored on the root of the JumpDrive.

However, when I have the JumpDrive plugged in and reboot the laptop, and then use the boot option 'dsl mydsl=sda1', I get the following error messages:

Checking for myDSL apps... xampp-linux-1.4.13tar: write error: No space left on device
tar: Invalid tar magic
gcc1error writing /etc/mtab.tmp: No space left on device
error writing /etc/mtab.tmp: No space left on device

I have tried reformatting the JumpDrive using the FAT32 filesystem, but I get the same error when only the above two files are on the drive.

I have also tried on a different laptop but I also got the same results.

Can anyone suggest what to try next?  I'll keep searching, but I thought I would post first.

Thanks for any help provided!

Sounds like you are running out of ramspace.

You don't have enough RAM in your computer to autoload both of these extensions.

Try creating a directory called /optional  (all lowercase letters) and move your extension files into this directory.

You can then load them when needed using the myDSL Optional menu in Fluxbox.

Just don't try to load up both of them at the same time or you will get an error message or a crash.
