I have two notebook, Toshiba Satellite 2520cds and a Toshiba satellite 1900-102.
In the 1900-102 i run DSL2.0RC1 from the Cd and it's everything ok.
The problem is with the 2520cds.

Some specifics.
AMD -k6 300MHz
64MB RAm
4Gb HD
The ethernet deviced is a PCMCIA.

I tray to install in HD.

When i boot from the cd, whit the PCMCIA deviced install, the process stop in the step
"Network device eth0 detected, DHCP broadcast for IP".

I boot with cd and install in HD without PCMCIA and the process is ok.

The problem is when i install the PCMCIA with DSL working, i can't config the ethernet without DHCP.

Question, as i stop the DHCP step in the boot??

The second problem is the audio not working, but my big problem is the ethernet connection.

Thanks for the attention.
Forgive my English.

Try this for audio
Code Sample
Sound Configurations

Toshiba 2515CDS has a built-in Yamaha OPL3-SA3 sound chip. Red Hat Linux 5.2 (kernel 2.0.36) supports it. The settings have to be matched with your BIOS settings.

My BIOS settings are as following:
WSS 530h, SB 220h, Synthesizer 388h, IRQ 5, WSS Play DMA 1, WSS Rec DMA 0, Control 370h, MIDI 330h.

run sndconfig, pick "OPL3-SA2/3/x sound chip"
I/O Port: 0x530
IRQ: 5
DMA 1: 1
DMA 2: 0
MPU I/O: 0x330

got this from http://tuxmobil.org/toshiba.html

wait approx 30-60 seconds for the DHCP client to timeout/fail on boottime..it should continue thru..
I believe you can then set a static IP with the DSL panel and it will disable the autoboot DHCP request

Hope that helps
