I'm trying to boot into DSL so I can install it onto my USB pen drive, but am having some problems.

If I just type Enter at the boot prompt, I get a blank screen. If I try "lowram" or "failsafe" I get stuck at what appears to be the ACPI stage. I tried noapic but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone able to help me out here?

Thanks, Tom

apic and acpi are not the same thing (see Google for exlanations).

I don't believe DSL 1.5 can use acpi but you can use noapic and acpi=off to be sure.

Ya I have a hp ze4560us and with versions 1.5 and earlier I need to use 'acpi=off' when booting.
