If you have a specific problem, explain how you are using DSL (from CD? from USB? from HD-install?), what happens when you try using the dsl-dpkg.dsl and coreutils.dsl extensions, and what things you saw made you think you have a problem. No one can help you if you did not try these out first. And no one can help you if you did not know that apt-get comes with dpkg.
