Fioddor: It's better for the users and worse for the mantainers. As you can imagine we have plenty of users but not so many volunteers. Thus, since we don't yet have enough manpower to aproach independant spanish/german/etc wikies I've opted to follow the english version as baseline. Using the english names with the languaje suffix is a rule borrowed from the aMule's wiki that helps to keep the structure aligned. Then I used the same approach in the german version.
I care more about the spanish wiki and it takes too much of my time to do the same in the german one. In other words: I somehow 'commit' with the manteinance of the spanish one, but just help as I see fit in the german one. So, keeping or abandoning the keep-the-structure-lined-up rule depends on the german community volunteers. I just recommend to keep it like this as long as there's not enough people, because it helps to keep track of how far everything is updated or not. In fact I'd even recommend to keep it forever and upgrade the english baseline if the germans get to take over.
Mgeilinger: Well, thats all so far. if i find more free time and if dsl doesn't disappoint me suddenly, you can expect a few more translations.

Fioddor: Well, I guess that the country code is CH (Conferedation Helvetique)?? I've checked the list in kbdconfig (DSL Menu->System->Keyboard) and found fr_CH, fr_CH_latin1 and if they aren't, you might try it2 (alternative italian), de-latin1 (latin german) etc.

Thanks so far for your work on the german pages. I've already done some corrctions.

My 50 cents: Providing different independend wikis is not to be recommended for an info project like this, because wiki users will end up in the "wikipedia syndrome" - so I call it. One's looking for sthing, just to find out that there is more/different info in other lang-versions, with more inter linked stuff to go for. So one has to read through (if able to read other than one's own mother tongue) at least english, french, german (...) pages to be shure to receive the most possible infos about an interesting topic. That's just horrible!^^
Better having a good/bad english template to translate and improve for all other langs nearly at the same time, than to bloat the whole wiki more and more! I just thik it's a clever solution...

Alternate idea for alternate languages
I agree with your comments about how we would need more people to maintain separate wikis for each language, but I think we can help the users another way.
How about an article with a well written Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, or other language title that only contains a REDIRECT command to the translated English titled article with the language suffix. That solves the native speaker's search problem and maintains the current language suffix title for the maintainers.
Before I saw this conversation, I did the opposite for http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/%E8%87%AA%E5%88%B6UCI%E6%89%A9%E5%B1%95%E5%8C%85 which I pointed to with http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php?title=Creating_a_UCI_Extension-cn&redirect=no
The idea is to have a non-English language search able title and leave the translated article near the English article in the http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Special:Allpages list. It also means the non-English titled article needs no further maintenance.
