User Feedback :: DSL Installation Problems in my Old Laptop :(



Hi comunity!

I have a good experience with DSL in my DURON1200, but I have a little installation problem in Poorman's mode: I follow every step in this installation mode, but when I start with ./frugal_lite.sh command (after I correctly downloaded this file from :

http://ibiblio.org/pub....lite.sh

I get the message ./frugal_lite.sh: permission denied.

Well, I hope I can get some help from you guys. (I downloaded this file and executed it at root from the TOMSRTBT OS disk and I have the disk out from the Laptop. The laptop is a old Compaq model Contura400CX with 12 MB of ram and 400 Mb of HD and 40Mhz processor.)

I read somewhere that if you try ..

sh frugal_lite.sh

it works better..

Also, I think you have to run it as root.

Same as every other install script.

I tryed sh frugal_lite.sh and this worked perfectly, but I obtain another error when I start with this message:

Standby fetching the iso...
wget: fgets(): Conection reset by peer
Could not get the iso file at this time.
Try again later.

... I think if I can get another URL or mirror from wich I can download thie iso file...
