User Feedback :: problems booting DSL

I try to boot DSL 0.9.2 syslinux on HP Vectra XU 6/150. its with scsi cdrom. But I can´t. It shows me:

Can´t find KNOPPIX filesistem, sorry.

and drops mi in limited shell

What´s wrong. What to do?

DSL probably doesn't detect and search for your SCSI cdrom device.

You could try to create a custom boot floppy and modify the scripts inside the minirt.gz file in order to get it to look at your CDROM device.

Or you can do this:

Use an existing or create a new FAT or FAT32 partition on your computer (usually your C:\ drive for a MSDOS/Win95/Win98/WinME computer system).
Boot into your other OS and copy over the \knoppix folder in your CD-R disk so that the file is located here:

c:\knoppix\knoppix

Then reboot with the boot floppy or boot from your existing livecd.
