User Feedback :: Does DSL have dd and or cat?
This may not be in the right place for this. But I am kind of in a hurry.
Does DSL have dd and/or cat? It isn't showed in the applications list. If DSL doesn't have it, could someone tell me where I can get a UNIX boot disk image or just some sort of very small linux with a bash shell in which I can use dd and/or cat?
Yes, DSL has those, but if you still want a floppy to use, try toms root boot.
dd and cat are included in BusyBox and should be available at any console.
and if you don't like the "Busybox" versions of cat and dd, you can get the "real thing" by installing the gnu-utils.dsl extension from the myDSL repository.
Thank you!
