User Feedback :: Inverted colors
Hi, I just got DSL working. But all the colors are screwed up. Its seems that other people have this problem too. If you just search "colors" there are many posts about it. But it seems nobody has solved this problem yet. I have integrated Intel Extreme Graphics.
Also are there supposed to be icons on the screen when it firsts starts up. If so, I have another problem.
HELP!
Update:
When I type in: fb1024x768 32bit, choose number five as the display setting, and run it at 24 bit the picture becomes clearer. The desktop background shows, but the colors are still screwed up.
Two options:
1)
Exit Xwindows with CTL-ALT-BACKSPACE
Type xsetup.sh
Choose 1024x768x8bit
type:
nano /home/dsl/.xserverrc
add
-swaprgb
to the line after the X command
save and exit
type:
startx
2)
Install Xfree86.dsl extension and use the i810 server.
This works for me on some machines....
Right click the desktop. Select SYSTEM...XVESA
A list of resolutions and color depths may be presented (you might just get an OK button). Click on one of the resolutions X color depth buttons. See if that helps your colors.
Good luck
Ok Ill try that. Thanks
