I'm now stuck on installing my ADSL DLink modem. Dear this looks like its gonna be a hard ride.

What you need is to throw NERO in the trash and use freeware
CDburnerXP pro 3. i'm assuming you have XP . if not there should be a free version on 2000, ME. do a google. I have NERO and cdburner pro. They always give me trouble so i use freeware.
