The USB-HDD script is for installing native DSL.
Running DSL under M$ requires the embedded version of DSL.
Seek the version you want in the repository.

Now that you have a working USBHDD install, you can boot into DSL and then download the 5-way install script from the DSL download site.
Then open an xterminal window and type:
tar -zxvf 5-way.tgz
cd 5-way
sudo ./5way_install.sh
and then follow the instructions.
You also might be able to do this from MSWindows by simply unzipping the dsl-embedded download with the destination for your "unzipping" being set to your USB drive.
Good Luck.
I took his advice, I unzipped the ebbeded version to my uSB-dRIVE. It works great. Best product I never bought.
