Ah, I have this old laptop that I want to put DSL on. When I boot up the live cd and get to the desktop the screen it really off color and can't see anything. After that I try Knoppix 4.02 live cd and that worked perfect. Some one please me.

Try the procedure detailed in the Wiki (http://damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Vga%3Dxxx) you may be able to find a mode which will give you a decent display.

Thanks for help, I get to the third step and I got lost. I'm confused what to. The vga list I want to use is 800x600x24 truecolor [8:8:8:0].

Nvm, I found a fix. fb1024x768.
