Quick google: other = /dev/hdb1 label = dos table = /dev/hdb
To mount it in DSL, use the mount tool app in the bottom right corner.It seems now that I can see the new partitons when they are mounted but DSL auto unmounts hdb1 and hdb2 on shutdown.The unmounting upon shutdown is standard for distros.

That seems to be the case. I don't think the mount state of the partitions is the problem. I'm starting to think there's something wrong with the OS installations. I don't remember having any problems booting the OSs when the drive was in the old machine but maybe just pulling the drive out of one machine and sticking in another and expecting it to work is just asking for too much.maybe its a logical partition, or something like that...Next Page...
