I open myDSL, select any category, and select a program, and then click download, and finally click download to the specified directory(I'm using the default /tmp) and then the window closes and nothing happens. It doesnt fetch the file, install it, or do anything that I can tell...

I'm not sure what the problem is, I have internet but I have never had this problem in myDSL before. I am using 3.1 RC4 so maybe its a problem with the new RC. Any help would be appreciated.

Please upgrade to a stable version.
FYI for recent DSL versions: If you are doing a debian-style traditional hd-install, I believe you'll need to change the permissions on /opt/.mydsl_dir as described in recent forum threads.
