Other Help Topics :: Mounting Compact Flash via USB

Everything is in a single partition. Firmware aside, is it possible to prevent the mounting of the flash? My computer has to be left on and running sometimes, I have taken the "proper" security precautions for this, but I am afraid that someone could take the flash and mount it on another system where they are root user and access my files.
