Seriously, DSL should continue to use the "real" GNU tar. I like Busybox as much as the next guy, but the Busybox tar is worthless and weak (I wanna ROCK!) and is more trouble than it is worth. GNU tar is also needed for many Debian packages.
GNU tar isn't very big and it is worth every penny of disk space.

erm... was that a Twisted Sister reference?! Your list shouldn't contain / or /usr if you're building or repacking a myDSL extension, but i agree with you....honestly i don't like Busybox much at all. Personally i'd rather have gnu utils and dump some of the extra bulk like firefox and emelfm =o)
