Is it posible to change items in /etc/ like you would in a ordanairy unix distribution.
Stuff like a fixed ip adress , hostname etc?

I think it would have been a good idea to say where the 'boot command line' is placed to optimize the help here.
That's the line after the word "boot:" that appears when you boot up the live cd.
