1) Download the latest iso from:

2) Burn iso onto CD-R with burning program

Which step did you get stuck on? What operating system are you using? Do you know what a burning program is? Do you have any installed?

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I have struggled through much of the same these last years. Here are a few tips that may help get you going.
At the link for downloading you will find several files, the one you want to download is about 95 mb right now and called

dsl-n-01RC4.iso

the 01 and RC4 will change as they are able to make new releases.

after downloading this you will need a cd burning software, if your cd burning software is installed then when you double click (in windows) it will open the software and try to burn a CD (my burner wants the blank CD installed before I double click on the .iso)

Now that you have a CD, shut down windows (hopefully for the last time), be sure to put the CD into the computer before shutting down or you will need to act quick when you start it up.

Now that you are ready to startup the very first screen that comes up will offer you a chance to edit your startup options by pressing a key (sometimes it is esc or F2, it will tell you) Press the key and you are now in BIOS (Basic Input Output System) search around until you find the bootup sequence. You need to have it try to boot from the cd first, then the hd. While you are here look for the option to boot from usb or boot from zip. If you do not have one of these options you will not be able to boot from usb. If you have one of these two, set it for the first boot option, then cd, then hd.

After you have set this save your settings and exit bios. You can leave this for the future since it will still boot from your hd if there is no cd or usb to start from.

So if you have your cd in, and the option set to start from the cd, and the iso burned to your cd, and the iso was good and complete that you downloaded, then you will see dsl-n startup. Just accept the defaults by pressing enter when it asks you if you want special startup setttings.

If everything goes well you are sitting in front of dsl-n looking at a new world. Right click anywhere on the desktop to get the menu and select 'Tools' then 'for usb zip pendrive' or 'for usb-hdd pendrive' depending on what you had in bios.

In the window that comes up there are about 5 questions it asks you, the one that got me was the 'name' of my device, I thought I could name it something I wanted, turns out it is looking for the system name, when I used the suggestion of 'sda' then it worked. Give it enought time to do the install (sometimes as long as 45 minutes, for me about 4 minutes).

Shutdown dsl-n, remove the cd, insert the usb, then startup. Should be ready to rock and roll!

Good luck
