I know the configuration files for the hd install are not set up for unionfs.. However, is the kernel module and utilities present in the hd install? |

When doing a hd install of dsl-n; is unionfs.ko, unionctl.ko installed?
If not I'm guessing the kernel on the cd and installed on the hd are identical so I could just copy these from the cd, yes? |

The unionfs module and unionctl are both there.
No different from liveCD version. |

Frugal install uses unionfs... just follow the instructions elsewhere on the site.
And there are also instructions for moving your stuff into the read-only image- look for instructions on remastering. |
