Damn Small Linux - Not!

If this is in the wrong spot, mods, please move, and forgive...

I have been an avid user of DSL for a couple of years. I still have the original Live CD from versions dating back then... Today, I decided to give Not! a test drive. I like it. It's actually a really nice improvement over something that was already really good.

I have an old crappy laptop. It was made for Win98, but frankly, works like crap that way. DSL is so far, the best and fastest OS I've found for it.

So... I'm not a total n00b. In fact, I'm pretty good with Linux nowadays...

But, DSL still does confuse me sometimes. Sometimes things work... Sometimes they don't. Such is the way with my experience with Linux in general... Very Happy

Anyway...

Today's issue is with the MyDSL Extensions. Some of the buttons give me a list of stuff I can download... Some don't. In this case, I would like to see the Net extensions. The window just comes up blank.

Alternately, if someone can simply tell me where I can download a usable version of Gaim, I'd be happy with that.

Gaim, is in the base DSL-N system.
Apps->IM Client.

Some sections of the MyDSL[b]-N[/b] repository are empty because there has been no feedback given that any of the MyDSL apps work with DSL[b]-N[/b]! These two systems are not always compatible and using MyDSL stuff on DSL[b]-N[/b] can cause problems.

I don't know why I didn't notice that item pointing to Gaim.

Okay... So, from what you're saying, some of those lists haven't even been populated yet. Okay... At least I know it's not an error in the version I downloaded.
