Why 180 megs? (i'm not suggesting we attempt to fill it)
DSL is designed to fit on a biz-card cd (50 mb).
DSL-N should be made for mini-cds (180 mb).
Website suggestion: a side by side comparison of DSL and DSL-N; app for app, feature for feature. |

I dislike the idea of a fundamental limit. It's just too limiting. I'd rather the admin's just decide on each app, and include them if they think that they are worthy. |

Stay with the "small is beautiful" philosophy, but don't adopt arbitrary limit.
DSL loses some usability points, compared to other small distros, because it is so small. No argument; that was the design goal.
DSL-N can be more competitive, where space is available. |

An arbitrary limit is unnessary. Flash drives have come way down in price. I like the developers reasoning: small with a lot of utility.

This week mini-cd,
Next week flsh-drive,
Week after compact-flash,
Next month mini-dvd,
I can't see any advantage to limiting yourself to a particular size/platform...
