Forum Index -> User Feedback View previous topic :: View next topic   Author Message Bilal Joined: 02 Jun 2006 Posts: 5 Posted: Wed Oct 11, 2006 4:29 pm    Post subject: gcc-withlib fails under dsl-n hi, i tried using gcc-with lib under dsl-n, but it fails during linking, if i do gcc -c then it will generate .o files , but if i try to link it fails. i believe the link is the part that fails, because when i do gcc test.c then it fails, but when when i do gcc -c test.c then it generates test.o. any ideas? peace Back to top roberts Joined: 17 Apr 2006 Posts: 320 Location: OC CA USA Posted: Wed Oct 11, 2006 6:04 pm    Post subject: If you are speaking of gcc1-with-libs.dsl. That is for dsl and not dsl-n. The two are not compatible. If you wish to have a development environment, the easiest by far is to use a Knoppix 4.0.2 CD. Then maybe, even make a compiler extension for the dsl-n repository. Afterall, the extensions are a community process.
