I'm a linux noob, spent quite some time looking for a distro with reasonable CF installation. Now I found DSL-N and can even swap to a smaller card. (The new 1GB went in the digicam now.)
I'd like to build a home server with samba and slimserver, maybe apache later, that's it. Solutions like FreeNAS and DSL didn't work, have problems with gigabit ethernet and SATA. But DSL-N did the trick! I wanted CF operation to save power and be able to take the HD away.
Now I'm struggling with things like how to add unionfs persistency, install samba, then slimserver with all those necessary audio conversion tools. Hope nobody minds me bugging from time to time.
