Hi all. I'm pretty clueless with Linux as yet. Recently started playing with an old Toshiba Satellite 2060CDS laptop - got 'proper' DSL running nicely for a while, so I bought a wireless network card for it to connect to my wifi network.
Obviously, the linksys wifi card I chose didn't work out of the box. Found I needed madwifi, downloaded the source....no MAKE package to compile it all (I'm a newb to Linux, but I'm no dunce!)
Wiped the lappy again, tried to install knoppix - gave up after 5 goes. Downloaded DSL-N when I saw that RC4 came with madwifi.
I'm now running DSL-N from LiveCD quite happily. Now for the big question...what do I do now? I tried filling in the details in iwconfig and wlanconfig - both give up connection failure messages.
Anyone? |

Okay, so I mis-typed it. |
