User Feedback :: boot error modprobe module block-major-2

Everytime I boot DSL, I get the following error message during bootup:

modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-2

Anyone know what this means, and what I should do about it?

Thanks!

try burning the disk again with a fresh iso. use a cdr burn at 4x

Usually occurs when the system does not physically have a floppy drive. It is safe to ignore.

and in fact, the particular system does not currently have a floppy disk drive installed, although I suppose I can install one of the spares I have lying around here in it.

Thanks for the info!

Ahhhh, I get that message too and do not have a floppy.

Another bit of the  jigsaw fits into place :)
