water cooler :: Best Linux Mag?
I just recently started using linux and am trying to learn as much as I can. I am looking into getting a monthly print linux magazine but wasnt sure which one was the best. So I figured there was no better place to ask than here which one you would recommend.
If you have an internet connection, don't subscribe to any magazine yet. Preview their articles online and see if they are both interesting and understandable at your level. Authors write with a particular reader level in mind, and pretty much all levels are covered by the number of linux article authors around. As always, never trust any single article/author. And it is better for you to beef up your GNU/Linux knowledge first before making this decision.

You don't need no stinkin' print mag.
But if you /HAVE/ to have one, the UK's Linux Format is the best out there.
Thanks for your replies. I'll take your advice and beef up on all of the basics before I look further into this. SaidinUnleashed thanks for the links I will bookmark them to keep up things.
I really enjoy Linux Format and if you do decide to subsribe get the DVD subsription as it is packed with "Linux goodies".They have included Damn Small Linux on the DVD in the past and they plan on running a "mini-distro" "shoot-out" in the July mag.
