USB booting :: no boot sector on HDD trouble :(

Hi,

i have tried addressing this from a Linux distro (Mepis) and from a XP Pro aswell!
i just can't seem to get my 128MB Pen Drive to Boot with DSL :)

In windows after doing everything instructed in the pendrivelinux website
even the makeboot.exe command which runs successfully, when i boot with my USB drive on my Dell inspiron5150
it gives me the following error after about 15 secs of blank screen
"No Boot Sector on Hard Disk"

HELP!

Could you boot a DSL cd and select from the fluxbox menu USB install > USB-HDD install
(then reboot and try it, of course)
and if that doesn't work, then USB-ZIP install?

It could also be that your laptop can't boot from usb..

i'll have to go and buy a CD. :) i only have DVDs nowdays..
and i dont think my laptop cant boot from a usb.
it has bios options to boot from a UBS and it also prompts that a usb is plugged in and wheather or not to boot from it.

anything else i can try out?

If you have the media on usb, but can't boot off it, you can use a "fromusb" boot floppy
